![]() ![]() If Waldron needs any info to supply what you are asking for and does not have the info they will find out what they need. I have one of their systems for the 62 Thunderbird I am working on but have not been able verify complete fit as of yet due to the fact that the engine is not ready to go into it yet but do know that everything fits from the end of the H pipe back, will be awhile before I will have the final answer But Jim W has had Waldron's system on his 1963 M Code Roadster for a couple of years with a couple of tweaks to it that have been addressed by Waldron. The following statement pertains to pipes only (mufflers have a 1 year warranty regardless of material chosen). Waldron does not have all the correct hangers so as Allan said if you do not have your original hangers or they are badly rusted you will need to source them from parts cars or buy new those items that are reproduced from the thunderbird parts suppliers. The Thunderbird proved an undeniable success, and remains one of Fords most recognized nameplates. If you call them and want a concours correct system let them know so they can price it accordingly as it does add some more cost to the system, they need to know if the engine has a heat riser valve on the right hand manifold as some years did not use them or they have been removed and not replaced. I plan to run it like this for a little while at least. The result is a little loud for my taste. It is certainly a treat to work with a supplier that wants to work with you to get their product concours correct the most of them just try to tell you that their item fits, have sold 1000's and this is the first complaint they have had and you must not know how to install the part correctly. When I had my rebuilt 390 reinstalled recently I opted for FPA headers, 2 1/4' exhaust with H-pipe and Magnaflow 18' long X 4' diameter mufflers in the stock location. ![]() Waldron can give you a complete exhaust system with resonators that is as close to correct as you will ever get, Jim W, Rene Gautron and myself have been working with the owner for pretty close to a year and a half as time allows to get the little details worked out on the 61-66 systems. ![]()
